Kevin A. Brown is a Hampton County native whose family roots in the area extend to the late 1700s.

A lifelong resident of the Lowcountry, Kevin graduated with honors from Wade Hampton High School in Hampton, South Carolina, in 1996. He earned a Bachelor of Science in History, magna cum laude, from Lander University in 1999 and received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2002. During law school, he was a member of Wig and Robe and served on the editorial board of the ABA Real Property, Probate and Trust Journal.

Kevin is licensed to practice in all South Carolina state courts and the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina. His legal practice focuses on real estate, probate, business, municipal, and land-related matters throughout the Lowcountry and beyond.

In addition to his legal practice, Kevin is a licensed South Carolina real estate broker and currently serves as a Councilman for the Town of Hampton. He is also a past President of the Hampton County Historical Society, reflecting his longstanding commitment to preserving the history and heritage of Hampton County.

Kevin has a particular passion for land stewardship, conservation, and rural property management. Throughout his legal career, he has represented both private landowners and conservation organizations in the conservation and protection of thousands of acres of land across South Carolina through conservation easements and related initiatives. He has worked extensively on matters involving timberland, agricultural property, recreational land, and natural resource conservation.

Outside the office, Kevin owns and operates Angus Brown Farms, a nearly 700-acre farm in Hampton County managed for timber production, wildlife habitat, and Pineywoods cattle. His interest in conservation extends well beyond his legal practice and into the daily management of the land, where sustainable forestry, wildlife enhancement, and agricultural stewardship are central priorities.

Kevin and his wife, Kelly Marie Brown, reside in Hampton, South Carolina. Together they have three sons, Saul, Aaron, and Bryson, and are the proud grandparents of four grandchildren. Kevin enjoys spending time with his family, working on the farm, studying local history, and supporting projects that enhance the natural resources and rural character of the South Carolina Lowcountry.
